College List
Help the student determine key criteria for college list
Recommend colleges for the student to consider
Offer tips for campus tours; ie. best time to visit and questions to ask
Create a balanced college list for the student that fits academic, social, and financial criteria
Provide assistance narrowing the college list and deciding where/how to apply (ED, EA, RD)
Essays & Applications
Assist with the common application, supplemental essays, scholarship essays, and honors college applications
Help student choose essay prompts through multiple brainstorming sessions
Edit essays as appropriate until final drafts are completed
Review all sections of the common application for clarity and coherence
Planning
Advise on courses to take during high school that align with strengths and goals
Evaluate the student’s school record and test scores
Suggest a standardized test plan for SAT/ACT tests
Recommend extracurricular activities to pursue that highlight the student’s strengths
